The Galería Fidel Balaguer was founded in 2002, and in 2004 moved in from the outskirts of Barcelona to the city's principal gallery area. The gallery's main focus is on contemporary art in the disciplines of painting, photography and sculpture. Among the photographers show are Pere Formiguera, one of the key figures in Spanish photography in recent years. In 2007 the gallery participated in Spain's most important photography fair, DFOTO'07, in San Sebastián.
