Plaça Reial has a lot of history in it: numismatics and taxidermy, Catalan writer and philosopher Francesc Pujols, gay activist José Pérez Ocaña... One of the pillars of this square is Jamboree, which opened in 1960 and has since been home to the best live jazz and African American–rooted music in general. If you want to start the new year with hot rhythms and loads of dancing, DJs Yoda and Eley will be spinning hip hop, R&B and dancehall that will keep the party train going all night.
