Moritz Von Oswald is one of the key players in the world of contemporary electronica. He'll go down in history as a member of two of the biggest techno-dub projects in the '90s, Basic Channel and Maurizio. That's where the minimal techno was forged that made up the backbone of Berlin and Detroit electronica that later the likes of Robert Hood and Jeff Mills would take up. After closing his label Basic Channel, he started producing with the Chain Reaction, more geared toward a Jamaican sound.
