Barris en dansa: Inakibú

'Inakibú' is the result of the Barris en Dansa (Neighbourhoods in Dance) project, a show of contemporary dance performed by about 200 people of all ages, fitness levels, and from different neighbourhoods in Barcelona: Gràcia (Caldera), La Marina (El Graner), Poblenou (Can Felipa) and Barceloneta (Barceloneta CC). Each of these barrios has created a part of the show from a series of weekly meetings that have taken place since September 2013 in each of the centres, with the end result of a melding of the various parts into the show. 'Inakibú' is an invented word meaning 'glimmer of hope' that is intended to convey what the show and the overall project are about: giving a ray of hope through participation and collective creation. The whole show revolves around confusion, but with glimmers of hope.
