Time Out says

Jeff Nichols. USA. 2011. Original language, Spanish subtitles. 123'.

Curtis La Forche lives in a small Ohio town with his wife and daughter. He is having dreams that seem to foretell the coming of the Apocalypse, and he decides to protect his family by building a shelter in his backyard. But doubt is taking hold in his mind: what is he protecting them from? The supposed apocalyptical storm or himself? An enigmatic and unsettling film with an excellent performance by Michael Shannon. One of the most surprising films in American independent filmmaking in recent memory. Before the screening at Sala Montjuïc, we are treated to a live concert by the jazz quartet Jazzin' Time (8.45pm).
