Jonathan Demme. USA, 1991. Original language, Catalan subtitles. 118'.
The Filmoteca continues its celebration of the films of Jonathan Demme, who passed away in April, this time with 'The Silence of the Lambs', adapted from the Thomas Harris novel of the same name, and starring Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster. This psychological thriller features serial killers as its driving force, especially Hannibal Lecter (Hopkins), whose house you'd never want to be invited to for dinner. When the film won The Big Five at the Academy Awards, it did as much for the genre as the movie itself.
