Blues & Ritmes 2016: Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott

  • Music

Time Out says

In the 1990s when they headed up The Beautiful South they sold millions of albums and became one of the most successful duos in the recent history of English pop. Reunited since 2014, Paul Heaton (also of the unforgettable The Housemartins) and Jacqui Abbott have updated their repertoire with two great albums full of charm, irony and social critique. Just after a UK tour with dates sold out months in advance and where the pair sang in historic venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, the Blues & Ritmes concert cycle welcomes Heaton and Abbott to Barcelona, their only show in Spain. Along with tunes from their new album, 'Wisdom, Laughter and Lines' (2015), you can bank on hearing songs you know and love like 'Rotterdam', 'Don't Marry Her', 'Me and the Farmer' and 'Caravan of Love'.
