Time Out says

African sounds are the star of the first of three themed nights of La Mercè festivities at the Moll de Fusta at the Barcelona Port with a line-up headed by Seun Kuti (1.30am), son of Afrobeat pioneer and activist for human rights in Africa, Fela Kuti. Seun keeps his father's spirit alive at the helm of veteran band Egypt 80. The show mixes African rhythms and proclamations against the corruption and misery in Kuti's native Nigeria. Also performing are Guinea-born Barcelona resident Nakany Kanté (10pm), who shows why she's got one of the most sought-after voices on the rich African music scene in the city; and from Senegal the Orquestre Baobab (11.45pm), one of the most iconic African orchestras in the world.
