Wagner's opera is back onstage at the Liceu with this new production that was devised by Katharina Wagner, the great-granddaughter of the composer, who's in charge of stage direction as well. Josep Pons leads the Liceu's own orchestra and choir, and the vocal cast is led by Klaus Florian Vogt, Erin Wall, Evelyn Herlitzius and Günther Groissböck, among others.
