Mark Turner is one of the leading jazz players of his generation. His sax has created his own school among the new sounds of 21st-century jazz and this he has done both as sideman (Billy Hart, SFJazz Collective), with line-ups like Fly, alongside Brad Mehldau’s rhythm section Jeff Ballard and Larry Grenadier. Now he continues to set trends leading this extraordinary quartet consisting of members who flirt with excellence, like the trumpeter Avishai Cohen, the double bass player Joe Martin and Robert Glasper’s drummer Damion Reid. Two nights at the Jamboree with the liveliest jazz.
Mark Turner sax, Avishai Cohen trumpet, Joe Martin double bass, Damion Reid drums.
