Mas i Mas Festival 2019: Carla Cook

With a successful career as vocalist, Detroit-born American artist Carla Cook is an original jazz singer-songwriter who masterfully interprets a repertoire of standards, but also dominates other styles. Among other merits, she stands out for jazzing up songs not written by jazz composers which are pieces that, until Cook sang them, few fans would have imagined being performed in a jazz style. At Jamboree she gives us a session with R&B pieces, European classical music, Motown, blues, gospel and, of course, jazz.
