Opening day (which is also free!) of the Primavera Sound festival this year has moved from the Arc de Triomf to the Parc del Fòrum, where only the Ray-Ban stage will see any action, playing host to hardcore punk band Girona Aliment, who debuted with 'Holy Slap' (2012) on Chestnut Records; The Bots, made of brothers Mikajah and Anaiah  Lei, who have drawn much attention Stateside thanks to their uninhibited and energetic mix of punk and blues; The Guards, a Californian trio making pop infused with arrangements and featuring the brother of the singer of Cults, one of last season's fashionable bands, who make their Barcelona debut with their first LP, 'In Guards We Trust' (2012); London quartet The Vaccines, returning after making us move our feet at Primavera Club as one of the most reliable recent hypes in the world of British rock; closing the day are Delorean and their electronic pop, who are about to edit the awaited sequel to 'Subiza' (2010).
