Reggie Washington Quartet

  • Music, Jazz

Time Out says

Having earned his spurs under Roy Hargrove at his most distinctive, in his RH Factor project, Reggie Washington is an instrumentalist who wants no truck with conventions or formalism. His spirit looks towards the future, although always bearing in mind the premises of a past he has used as a base for exploring new ways. After also working with the punk group Screaming Headless Torsos, Washington follows the principles of Miles Davis in that he doesn’t consider the music he makes to be jazz, but rather a compendium of sounds and harmonies defining the identity of a culture and a people.

Reggie Washington bass and vocals, Marvin Sewell guitar, Dee Jay Grazzhoppa DJ samples, turntables, Patrick Dorcean drums.
