Young Rita Payés’s progress as a trombonist and singer has made her one of the best future prospects from the Chamorro “factory”, otherwise known as the Sant Andreu Jazz Band. The chance to see her presenting her new album live, backed by a group tailor-made for her by Joan Chamorro himself, will demonstrate the growth and consistency of this promising youngster from our jazz scene. On top of that, Luna amarella is largely the result of her two concerts at the Jamboree last June.
