With the echos of her recent collaboration with David Byrne and big-sound concert at Primavera Sound 2014 still ringing pleasantly in our ears, St. Vincent is back in Barcelona to perform at the Apolo with an eponymous album which continues to expand the gap that separates her from conventional pop artists. With an array of styles in her repertoire ranging from synthetic funk to electronic-based tracks and others heavy on guitars, this New Yorker, who we first got to know dressed in white robes when she was part of The Polyphonic Spree, takes another step toward her true self, the queen of quirky and deliciously perverse pop.
