The Monkey Men

The Monkey Men are here to get you to shake your body. Back to basics and full of energy, the eight-piece band complete with horn section and killer vocals from Julien Chetcuti revel in the rawness of '40s and '50s swing and rock 'n' roll. Heavily influenced by Louis Prima and Wynonie Harris, The Monkey Men's repertoire cuts in and out of swing, jive, rock 'n' roll, blues and surf music. Started by British double bassist David Reeson, the members of this international band based in Barcelona hail from five countries and play a mix of covers and original material. The Monkey Men are extremely hairy, love bananas and spend most of their time rattling the cage.
