Time Out says
British band The Roomates, the biggest group with White Group Sound, was founded in England by Steve Webb in the 1990s. Since then, and following a few changes in their line-up, they've recorded several albums, mostly for the label Ace Records, and have been a part of hundreds of rock music festivals around the globe. Barcelona act The Velvet Candles are one of the constants when it comes to doo wop at European festivals. In 2016 alone they'll be at festivals in Finland, Italy, Holland and Germany, among other countries. And recently they went along to two other festivals in the company of legends Norman Fox and Tommy Hunt.
This concert, which will include a few surprises, is special for both bands on the bill as they're each presenting new albums, produced by the label that represents them both and which has just celebrated its 20th anniversary, El Toro Records. After the concert, the party carries on at Upload with a rock and roll party until the sun comes up.
