Tomasz Stanko New York Quartet

Polish trumpeter Tomasz Stanko, a top component of Europe's jazz scene, is back in Barcelona with his New York Quartet, along with Alexi Tuomarila on piano, Reuben Rogers on double bass and Gerald Cleaver on drums, to present 'Wislawa'. The concert is in celebration of the 20th anniversary of when the Nobel Prize in Literature was awarded to poet Wisława Szymborska. Stanko collaborated with Szymborska, who was also a source of inspiration for this project, which became a double album released by ECM in 2013 and has been widely considered to be a masterpiece by the veteran trumpet player.
