Turandot

The Gran Teatre del Liceu opens its new operatic season with the same piece that premiered the re-opening of the theatre in 1999 following the fire of 1994. This is a new production that stands out for the staging of Franc Aleu, one of today's great audiovisual creators. The double cast includes impressive voices such as Iréne Theorin, Lise Lindstrom, Jorge de León and Gregory Kunde, among others. Josep Pons is musical director, leading the Liceu's orchestra and choir.
