Can Xaran has existed as an inn for more than a century, and its secret is really no secret at all: good food at a reasonable price. It’s nice to find a place where you can enjoy a three course lunch or dinner, plus dessert, for less than €10 (€12 on Saturdays). If you’re interested in staying the night here you’ll also find reasonable room rates. At the table, you’ll be served fresh salads, escalivada and a tripe stew dish known as cap i pota – all of which are full of flavour.
