Can Xurrades has moved from C/Gran de Gràcia uptown to C/Casanova, and it's no longer a Catalan tavern (the type with a décor that favours images of farmers and work animals doing their thing under the blazing sun) – it's a proper modern restaurant. And though you'll still find standards that have always been on the menu, such as cod, snails and grilled veg, Chef Rafa Martínez specialises in high-quality beef, such as that from Sayaguesa bulls, Galician calves, and cows from Ávila. All are cooked on an oak-charcoal grill.
