At Mari and Rufo’s, the attraction is not just the food they serve, but the atmosphere created by the family that runs the restaurant and their regular customers. Office workers from the banks on Via Laietana, retired workers from Santa Caterina market and groups of friends who turn up religiously every week for their fork lunch and glasses of wine from the many bottles on the wine list. Traditional fish and seafood dishes with the almost obligatory starter of Iberian ham and grilled shrimp. Lunch can stretch into supper time, and at weekends you might end up staying till 2 am.
