A petite bar-restaurant with a vegan punk spirit, the walls look like Black Flag album covers starring cats. They're also big into their beers, with foam-licking-good Catalan craft beers, and the punky bottled Scottish Brew Dog. The lunchtime menu always features a veggie burger (that could easily make claim to being the best in the city in its class) and dishes that are simple but always scrumptious. Food and beer are served all day.

We might have been incredibly hungover post-Primavera festival but we couldn't help but be tempted inside Cat Bar on our extremely slow travels through El Born.

It's a very low-key affair with a menu of huge vegan burgers & a rotating list of beers. The place is decidedly more cluttered (or shall we say lived-in?) than it appears in the photo above and it is a bit of squeeze if you are more than two arriving at a busy time. Regardless we were squeezed, and there wasn't a trace of vegan burger to be found on our table no less than 5 minutes after they all arrived and you can't say fairer than that!
