El Racó de la Mercè

Apart from the delicious Iberian ham sandwiches, in this bar the ritual of the breakfast sandwich is observed with veneration. With its unofficial name of La Granja, everyday the V-shaped formica countertop attracts elderly people, a few lost tourists and workers who come to pay their respects to the excellent selection of dishes. Their specialities are simple, blue cheese with walnuts, cured meats, courgette omelette – but the excellent service provided by the owner, the quality and the atmosphere all make a visit worthwhile.
