The Empordà-style duck with figs that Jordi Ferré makes in La Mariona is one of the great attractions on the menu of this nice and cosy restaurant that’s been around for almost 30 years. The duck thigh is very well prepared and bathed in a sauce with intense flavours of berries and red wine, and accompanied by extraordinary candied figs.
This little gem near the Galvany market is the restaurant choice of the surrounding area’s demanding diners, who also enjoy their burgers and pasta (especially filled), often found on the lunch menu. At night, the warm lighting on both floors gives the place a special charm. There’s a good wine list and attentive wait staff.
