A few years ago the restaurant trend went all minimalist intellectual with brand-name stemware, even in the less expensive spots. Then, without warning, the tide turned and everyone jumped on the bandwagon of bringing back the old school, locally translated into meals full of botifarra sausages, tinned cod and glasses of vermouth. This change made the folks at La Pubilla both happy and successful, as they turned up at just the right time and in just the right place, in front of the Llibertat market that provides it with fresh produce to give the old-school dishes a fresh touch.
