What’s the vibe?
After smashing it with the first two Lluritus, the Gràcia-rooted restaurant group – known for its relaxed seafood spots that won’t leave your credit card weeping – took things up a notch in 2024 with Lluritu 3. Their first venture outside Gràcia feels more like a full restaurant than the other Lluritus, but it keeps the laid-back spirit: a warm, welcoming space far from the stuffy, old-school seafood joints – marble bar, high tables, a more intimate upstairs dining room, and a brilliant terrace along the promenade.
What should I order?
You’ll find simply prepared seafood, of course – oysters, anchovies, clams, prawns – but the real personality comes through in dishes inspired by the sea-and-mountain tradition of Empordà cooking, both cold and hot. Among the cold dishes, the standout is a cauliflower and prawn creation – cauliflower and apple cream with cured white prawn, prawn tartare, asparagus and pea shoots – a symphony of garden and sea. Or a delicious salpicón de marisco that restores dignity to a dish so often done badly.
From the hot side: a ravioli stuffed with pig’s trotters and prawns, served with prawn and foie sauce, or sweetbreads with cod cocochas – dishes that would make even the most famous Spanish chef proud. And it doesn’t stop there: the rice dishes are outstanding (especially the sea-and-mountain version with seafood and pig’s ear – a reinvention of Empordà-style arròs brut, somewhere between brothy and dry). Truth be told, Lluritu 3 is a seriously good restaurant.
