You'll feel right at home in Market Cuina Fresca where they didn't exactly strain themselves over the name but these three words ('Fresh Market Cuisine') represent their philosophy 100 percent. All the products they use are fresh, organic when they can be, and local, from markets and co-ops. They also know how to commune with their vegetarian soul with a set lunch menu for less than €14, and excellent attention to details. The place is by no means strictly vegetarian, with about 80 percent of the menu veggie-based, and 20 percent meat and fish. Working with a self-imposed rule that no dishes should have more than three ingredients, they manage to create a healthy and welcoming oasis in the Pobelnou neighbourhood.
