Painted in tasteful shades of ochre and terracotta, with the obligatory trickling fountain, wooden carvings and wall-hung candles, but saved from eastern cliché by some occidental jazz in the background. Reasonably priced tom yam soup and pad Thai feature, while less predictable choices include 'pho bo' – a Vietnamese broth with meat and spices, and sake niku, a delicious beef dish with wok-fried broccoli and a lightly per- fumed soy sauce. There is also an increasing amount of Japanese options on the menu.
