Time Out says
Picnic took over this modest space in 2010 and gave it a rigorous makeover – while the exterior is still rather unlovely, inside it’s a welcoming space, with country-kitchen bar stools, dramatic flower arrangements and lounge music. The food is influenced by the US deep south and beyond, with corn chowder, fried green tomatoes and some tasty little crab cakes with fennel salad and crème fraîche, all served in half-portions. If you come at the weekend, there’s an excellent brunch: get there early for any chance of a table.

In our search for good quality coffee and nice brunch we came across this restaurant. It was packed so we thought there was a reason for this great amount of people so we waited for a seat. We end up in a very uncomfortable stool almost in front of what is the space used as an open kitchen, which is appalling. We had florentine and Benedict eggs that were well resolved but a bit small for the price. Coffee was not what I was expecting, in need of a good barista if they expect to excel on the brunch scene. I would not make it my favorite.
The description above is for a different restaurant. Please update. Picnic is not; "A seafood eatery outside Barceloneta...." The web links are correct, though.
