Now bigger, more open and with more ways to experience it, Tierra Brava evolves while staying true to its essence. Rooted in the market that surrounds it, the restaurant continues to source farm-to-table ingredients to shape a renewed menu that opens the season with innovative dishes and cocktails that are truly something special.

Looking for a place where time stands still and you can savour the first bite as if it were your last? Tierra Brava, part of the Somos Esencia group, returns with a refreshed offering full of gastronomic elixirs that will keep you there for hours on end. Vegetables, fish and meats come directly from the same market where it is anchored—the Mercat del Ninot—ensuring exceptional freshness, one of the defining keys to its cuisine.

You can settle into its expanded, modern interior—an anything-goes space with two dining rooms and room for 130 guests—or soak up the sun and breeze on its charming terrace. And if that weren’t enough, live music accompanies dinner until 1 a.m. from time to time. Want to know more? Read on.

1. The Star: A New Bar

The bar is now the beating heart of the restaurant. No longer just a place to pass through, it’s a place to stay—to sit, observe, talk, and watch ingredients transform right in front of you. This is cooking without filters!

The setting draws you in: deep bottle-green tones, warm lighting, and materials designed to make you linger longer than planned. The atmosphere feels intimate, almost domestic, yet charged with the energy of a restaurant in motion.

This is the perfect place to have a drink, and here these elixirs rise to match. Tierra Brava’s cocktails, developed with liQeat—the consultancy by Makeat and Marc Álvarez (SIPS)—take things to another level. The menu features seven creations crafted for every moment (alongside non-alcoholic options): from Esencia, fresh and herbal, to Tierra, intense and complex, through Sonora with tequila and jalapeño, or Beetmary, a bold twist on the Bloody Mary. But if you prefer to keep it simple, you can always order a nice glass of wine, a beer or a picture-perfect served vermouth. Ready for the full experience?

2. The Best Catalan Pastime: Tapas & Paellas

Tierra Brava is a constellation of life’s greatest pleasures: going to the market to stock the pantry and then sitting down to share tapas and top-tier paellas in a warm, lively space. This is food made for sharing—just like at home. And when the weather calls for it, the experience continues on the terrace, under the sun.

The culinary proposal stays true to its essence: market-driven, Mediterranean, with strong Catalan roots and a contemporary edge. You come here to order several dishes to stretch the sobremesa a little longer. Additionally, they offer a weekday set menu (€25) and weekend rice menus.

From a characterful dry-aged burger to a soft, rich oxtail brioche, the menu also features standout dishes like the fontina, egg and truffle pizzetta or rustit cannelloni with black trumpet mushrooms—familiar recipes elevated to another level.

And you also must try what makes Tierra Brava so legendary: its rice dishes. Some examples? The one with butifarra sausage a tribute to Catalan cuisine with a smoky, grilled flavour, and another The Senyoret—briny and full of character. Cooked in a charcoal oven, they have that subtle smokiness that turns every grain into a small explosion of flavour. And to finish, desserts that strike the perfect balance between tradition and indulgence: a flan with caramelized popcorn, or chocolate with bread, olive oil and sea salt—simple ingredients, taken somewhere entirely new.

Behind it all, a team that gives the concept its meaning: Luis Arteaga leading the savoury side, and Edu Flores crafting desserts that make you want to stay just a little longer.

3. Please Don’t Stop the Music

At a time when everything moves fast, Tierra Brava leans into the opposite.

A place where Thursdays stretch out with live rumba, turning dinner into something more: a shared rhythm, long conversations, and the feeling that time can, in fact, slow down—even if just for a while. For those unfamiliar with this genre, rumba catalana is vibrant and full of energy, driven by guitar, clapping, and vocals that instantly lift the mood.

Ready for it? Just book your table and let the night unfold at Tierra Brava.
