The brothers Giuliano and Franco Lombardo are from Cinque Terre, a region of Genoa where Tramonti lies. This romantic, picturesque town hangs from the side of a mountain, right next to its vineyards. The acme of Italian restaurants, Tramonti has become a byword for splendour and good, traditional Italian food. Naturally, their pastas are excellent; while in hunting season, the exquisite pappardelle in hare sauce is highly recommended. The walls of this cosy restaurant (open every day of the week) are lined with oil paintings and watercolours, prints, cartoons and photos that create a lovely homely atmosphere.
