Silence

Theatre company Escapade are back with another of their popular English-language plays, which they've been bringing to Barcelona stages since 1997. When a powerful Hollywood film producer discovers a budding actress, and promises to make her a star of the silent movies, she believes her dream will finally come true. Little does she realise that he's not as interested in her acting skills as in her other attributes. Will she succumb to his evil advances and become an icon of the era, or will she defend her honour in the name of all acting women? 

Set against the backdrop of the Silent Age of Hollywood, Escapade weaves tragedy, comedy, physical theatre, mime and film to tell a magical tale of cinema and revenge before the #metoo era. In English with Catalan subtitles.
