Time Out says

Author Cynthia Connolly presents the seventh edition of her legendary book 'Banned in DC' with an interview and a Q&A session, followed by a concert by an all-star group of international Barcelona-based musicians performing eclectic interpretations of songs by bands from the 1980s Washington DC punk scene, such as Fugazi, Bad Brains, Scream and Shudder to Think.

The Washington DC area was one of the birthplaces of punk and hardcore, DIY culture and the straightedge movement, and more than 30 years have passed since the original publication of 'Banned in DC', a book that collects interviews and photographs of groups from the punk and hardcore and scene in DC from the late '70s to the late '80s. 'Banned in DC' is recognised as one of the best books documenting the groundbreaking musical revolution that spawned musical genres and styles, cultural movements and art.
