The people's gastronomic festival Barcelona Degusta is back to celebrate its fifth edition in the Fira de Barcelona from September 24 to 27. Planned for anyone who loves culinary culture and wants to try, taste and purchase the best of what's going on in local food right now, the fair features more than 90 activities, including master classes, workshops, tastings, story-telling, film, a picnic area, an urban garden, open-air concerts and food trucks where you can sample the latest trents in urban and street food.
 
There's also real muscle in the list of invited chefs, among whom this year are Joan Roca (Celler de Can Roca), Carme Ruscalleda (Sant Pau), Fermí Puig, Nandu Jubany (Can Jubany), Carles Gaig (Restaurante Gaig), Carles Abellán (Bravo) and Ada Parellada (Semproniana); master bakers such as Christian Escribà (Pastelería Escribà) and David Pallàs; sommelier such as David Escofet (Tastavins), and experts on bread, like Daniel Jordà (Panes Creativos).
