Time Out says

Beer lovers, during this year of uncertain times, you'll be happy to know you can attend an annual event in Barcelona this season! From September 18 to 20 and from September 23 to 27, Poble Espanyol hosts the seventh edition of the Biergarten Beer Festival. As you imagine, the 2020 edition will be a bit different, as it will adapt to the safety measures required by the current situation.

Entrance is free for residents of Catalonia, but you need to book in advance via the website, as capacity will be limited. You'll also find that table service will work using QR codes on your mobile phone. These measures are in addition to those that Poble Espanyol has already got in place, such as regular disinfection of spaces and the mandatory use of masks.

Awaiting you are more than 15 varieties of beer – IPA, pale ale, lager, dark ale and some surprises – and traditional German gastro delights such as bratwurst, pretzels and potato salad, so you can imagine for a while you're enjoying Oktoberfest in Bavaria.

The programme of activities is also quite tasty. In addition to live music every day, you can participate in a frankfurt-eating competition; learn from the best to pour a perfect beer; and participate in tastings and pairings.
