Time Out says

On February 16 millions of Chinese people around the world celebrate Chinese New Year, this year ringing in the Year of the Dog. In Barcelona the big party will be the next day, on Saturday the 17th with a series of festive activities organised in collaboration with a long list of Chinese federations and organisations in Catalonia, as well as some local Catalan entities, heaps of volunteers, and organisations such as the Fundació Institut Confuci de Barcelona and Casa Asia, who help to make this Chinese tradition possible in Barcelona. The main events take place at and around Arc de Triomf and the Estació del Nord: at 11.30am there's a big, festive parade around the area, and between 12.30pm and 8pm there's a fair and a series of shows on a stage set up on Passeig Lluis Companys.
