Earth Day plastic fishing event

'End Plastic Pollution' was BarcelonaSail’s Earth Day goal last year. This year’s theme is 'Protect Our Species', because as they see it, when we work to fish plastic out of the sea, we help protect not just the species that live in the water, but our own species as well. BarcelonaSail organizes free plastic-fishing events four times a year; however, for this Earth Day event, they're covering costs by charging €20/person. You'll board a sailboat and head out into the Mediterranean, fishing for plastic along the way, and also playing a plastic escape game to help encourage you to use less plastic in your daily life. Bring some gloves, and prepare to get wet and pick up as much plastic as you can. You can also take photos and share them on social media to create awareness about plastic pollution along the Barcelona coast and help make this Earth Day plastic fishing expedition a success.
