Time Out says

On June 28 and 29, the first Sargal Adama Festival of Senegalese culture arrives in Barcelona, and it's a great opportunity to get into the dances, sounds and delicacies of Senegal. The festival is organised by the band Ngomez Nokass, whose members have been living in the city for years and who have pay homage to their mentor with the name of the festival. In store are two intense days full of activities such as workshops taught by renowned choreographers and percussionists, in the Lleitantat Santenca in Sants. They'll teach the foundations of the energetic dance Sabar, born of the Wolof culture, and now present throughout the country. Also on hand is drum major Adama Ngom, who comes to Barcelona especially for the occasion, along with many other Senegalese griots, to teach a master class of Sabar percussion.

The festival closes on Saturday 29 at Diobar, where the night starts with drums from the Colombian Caribbean and cumbia from Pitajaya, which gives way to the performance by Ngomez Nokass, sharing the stage with Adama Ngom. The drum major is sure to awaken the band's most festive spirit. For the final touch, you get the sounds of DJ Vera G. Moumie, who will keep you dancing until closing time with her beats already known in Barcelona thanks to her N'Zinga Nights parties.
