Time Out says

Following restoration works on this symbol of the  neighbourhood of Poblenou, it's now possible to take a journey through the history of the Torre de les Aigües del Besòs, one of the few remains still standing from the industrial past of Barcelona's coastal area. It was built in 1882 by the modernista architect Pere Falqués and is a quality example of local heritage.

Standing more than 60 metres tall, it recalls the important project undertaken at the time to provide drinking water to the city of Barcelona. Today, you can appreciate the full significance of the space and its architectural structure with a visit to the Torre; the guided tour will take you back to Barcelona as it was in 1880, to the industrial past of Barcelona and Poblenou.
