La Festa!

The Italian Consulate is putting on this cultural and culinary festival on June 3 and 4 at the Grimaldi Terminal in the Barcelona Port, just in time for Italy's national day. The goings-on throughout the two days are divided into two parts: the Taste-It Market, featuring local cuisine from Italian restaurants in Barcleona, and La Festa!, which is mainly a series of concerts, performances of traditional Italian dances, and workshops. The Grupo Folk Vilanova is in charge of the dances from Sardinia and Cagliari, and at 9pm you can catch a concert by pop group Delaporte. On Monday there's a free concert at 10pm at the Grimaldi Terminal, featuring jazz musician and trumpet player Paolo Fresu. You'll need to register in advance to enjoy the fun!
