On October 5 and 6, from 10am to 7pm, Maker Faire Barcelona is back with its sixth edition. This initiative from Sónar + D, FabLab Barcelona, SokoTech and Make, in collaboration with Barcelona City Council, Arrow, HP and Prusa Research takes place this year in the Nau Bostik, where engineers, artists, designers, hackers, artisans, scientists and techies present their most advanced projects within the framework of digital society, with circular economy as the central focus of the event.
The programme features more than 100 things to do among the stands, exhibitions, demos, documentaries, workshops and conferences, which bring together, some of the most interesting circular initiatives in the fields of textiles, fashion, agriculture, food and more, as well as showing the results of experimentation and production of all kinds of wastes and plastics that, collected from the Mediterranean, are returned back into the market by a circular economy.
All this is complemented by the presentation of projects that offer advanced results in the areas of artificial intelligence, the internet of things, 3D manufacturing, nanotechnology, social robotics, chemistry, machine learning, photonics, levitation acoustics and cyborg practices, where prostheses are exo-senses and bodies fields of invention.
