The Wine and Spirits Education Trust is the only internationally recognised wine qualification body. Wine Courses Barcelona is running a day-long (9.30am-6pm) Level 1 class on Saturday April 2. The course covers the main styles of wine; the WSET Level 1 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine; the characteristics of the common grape varieties; service, health, safety and legal issues; and the pairing of food and wine.
Level 2 classes are on during the whole of April in day- and evening-course formats. The course covers all major wine-producing regions of the world and their grape types, develops tasting technique and objective assessment, and looks at food and wine pairing and the production of spirits.
