Märkisches Museum

This extensive, curious and somewhat old-fashioned museum traces the history of Berlin through a wide range of historical artefacts. Different sections examine themes such as Berlin as a newspaper city, women in Berlin's history, intellectual Berlin and the military. There are models of the city at different times, and some good paintings.
