Above a music school and accessed via a wobbly staircase in the courtyard, this spacious bar manages to mix the best of the retro design craze with the sort of lively revelry associated with the East in the mid 1990s. The beer selection is gratifyingly big - try the Augustiner, one of Munich's best brews. The DJs are top-notch, playing anything from 1960s soul to jazz fusion to electronica.
