Dice Club has cleverly taken up residence in a disused DDR transformer station not far from Alexanderplatz. But it doesn't aspire to be another pilled-out minimal sanctuary in the manner of Berghain. The feel here is glitzy and upmarket, and a lot of cash has been sunk into both a top-notch sound system and inventive lighting rigs. Also, the music policy stretches beyond the thud of minimal house. Yet it maintains Berlin nightlife's traditional post-industrial vibe with bare concrete walls, utility flooring, iron staircases and original power station signage.
