Artist Riverside Hotel & Day Spa

A truly remarkable place, and brilliantly over the top. What was recently a car dealership on the Spree has been converted into a hotel and day spa (Berlin's best, according to a 2007 Prinz magazine poll). From the mammoth claw-footed tubs in bronze and whirlpool baths in the rooms to a clamshell flotation tank for two in the spa, this is Vegas-in-Space with health benefits. Owner Uwe Buttgereit, himself a health practitioner, has made each room spectacular, with warm colours and lighting. Therapeutic aromas waft through the halls, and even some of the budget singles have a terrace on the Spree. Artists get a discount. Highly recommended.
