Formerly known as Platte Mitte, The Loft Berlin proudly calls itself a 'No Hotel'. Featuring just two apartments on the 21st floor of a 1967-built Plattenbau, the rooms are airy and well designed, each with spectacular views of the city around Alexanderplatz. Colourfully decorated and eclectic, the furnishings mix original pieces of the period with fanciful touches such as poster-plastered walls and mannequins by the bed. And, as most of the neighbours are original tenants, this is a wonderfully unique way to experience Berlin.
