Spook Hill

Formed in 2010, at the dying years of the Labour government’s almost 20 years of control in Queensland, Spook Hill, independently recorded and produced debut EP, 9 Months in Paris [2012], contains the seminal track, Still Pig City, a flash back to the days of the not-so-distant past, when Brisbane was run by the Police and the underground music scene thrived. It’s this heritage that has been the backbone of Spook Hill’s combination of dirty blues and rock.
They love to play live and get the hairs on the back of your neck to stand up and get you out on the dance floor.

Salt and Steel

Salt & Steel are as soulful as they are feisty. This bohemian rock duo fills their stirring performances with foot stomping grooves and bewitching vocals that energize the soul.
Their raw earthy trademark sound was born through Salty’s powerful bluesy vocals and Spanish Style guitar riffs matched with Elle’s worldly percussion. Salt and Steel create a distinct fusion of folk, gypsy, rock and blues with a Celtic undertone. “We are inspired by all music and can’t help ourselves in merging their sounds”

What do you get when you combine a powerful old school rock-funk rhythm section with psychedelic South American screaming guitars and soaring vocals all working together to make you groove?

Headcage musical backgrounds and influences have combined to form their current unique sound – Trippy Hard Rock with lots of Groove. The kind of sound you could listen to while adventuring through time and space. (Imagine Pink Floyd jamming with Carlos Santana while having a beer with Led Zeppelin).
Headcage shows are fun, powerful and energetic.
“Our shows are a ritual, an experience. Energy, movement and vibrating music”
