Yp Threads Aussie Pong Tournament says
April 30th, 1789 - George Washington is inaugurated as the first President of the United States of America.

April 30th, 1938 - Don Bradman scores 258 for Australia against Worcestershire, hitting 33 fours and 1 five.

April 30th, 1988 - Celine Dion, representing Switzerland, wins the 33rd Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Ne partez pas sans moi” in Dublin.

April 30th is a day that has been host to some of the greatest historical “firsts” in human history… And to celebrate the Public Holiday on Monday May 1st, the lads at YP Threads want to welcome you to the party and invite you to the first ever YP Threads Aussie Pong Tournament at the Caxton Hotel, proudly supported by Betoota Bitter.

You may be asking "What is Aussie Pong?" Well, it is very similar to Beer Pong, only better/more Australian.

General admission is free on the day and it is also free to register a team: www.ypthreads.com.au/aussie-pong-rego/

The YP Threads Aussie Pong Tournament will be the mother of all Sunday sessions, consisting of 32 teams in a winner takes all tournament, featuring some of the best (and worst) Pong players Brisbane has to offer. Teams consist of 2 players each, with the champions walking away with a Sports Package consisting of 2 x $100 YP Threads vouchers, Broncos tickets and pre-match beers and feeds provided by The Caxton Hotel.

From noon there will be food trucks, cold beers and DJs (on the Cacko rooftop), as well as an AC/DC tribute band ripping the lid off the Cacko late into the evening. Spectators even have the chance to win themselves a prize on the day, through such events as the Goanna Pull and Gum Boot Toss, to name a few. Also, anyone wearing YP Threads on the day will automatically go in the running to win themselves a $50 YP Threads voucher.

If you and your mate/colleague/sister/grandmother or whoever think you have what it takes to be crowned YP Threads Aussie Pong Champions, simply head to www.ypthreads.com.au/aussie-pong-rego/ and register your interest ASAP. Nominations close Saturday April 8th at 12 noon, with the final entrants announced Monday April 10th, so be sure to register for your chance to walk away champion (just like Celine Dion did in 1988 - gotta be in it to win it!)

This is going to be an absolute ripper of a Sunday Sesh so spread the word, smash a few icy cold Betoota Bitters at the Caxton and cheer on your favourite Pong Athletes.
